According to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the e-commerce logistics index in China in April 2024 was 113.2 points, an increase of 0.7 points compared to the previous month, and has been rising for two consecutive months. Overall, e-commerce logistics continued to steadily improve in April, with the overall e-commerce logistics index breaking through 113 points for the first time since December 2019. With the promotion of holiday travel and consumption policies in May, e-commerce logistics operations are expected to steadily increase.

Among them, the volume of rural e-commerce logistics business has maintained high-speed growth. In April, the rural e-commerce logistics business volume index was 127.9 points, an increase of 0.2 points from the previous month and a growth of over 25% compared to the same period last year. Looking at different regions, the rural business volume index in the central and northeastern regions has increased, with the central region exceeding the national average level.

Since the beginning of this year, many postal departments and logistics enterprises in China have successively introduced relevant policies and measures to further promote the construction of rural e-commerce service system, support the high-quality development of postal and express delivery industry, and assist in the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.
